Patents from Prym are small press studs or snap fasteners, which are most often made of metal materials. These snap fasteners are used for quickly joining two textile or leather parts together. The Prym company has been renowned for the production and distribution of these products for several decades. Hand or pneumatic presses are most often used to attach the fasteners.
They produce several variants, such as:
- brass press-stud rivet buttons, which are used on regularly washed garments
- rivet buttons made of steel, which are used on products made of leather, imitation leather or cardboard
- Types that can also be used to join fabric with a solid material such as wood, cardboard or plastic
Prym snap fasteners are waterproof and well made. They are used in water management, in the army, or in police units. They are especially suitable for products made of waterproof materials such as GORE-TEX.
