The Baladeo PLR712 Itineraire is a waterproof case for paper maps, route notes and documents. Weather on a ridge or on the water turns fast, and a soaked map is useless straight away — in this case it stays dry and readable even in heavy rain.

The main features include:

• Protection from water and dirt: the case keeps out splashing water, rain, snow, dust and mud.
• Transparent on both sides: fold the map so you can follow the route from either side, without having to take it out and turn it over in the rain.
• Two carabiners: the case closes by rolling the edges into clamping bars that carry two carabiners. Clip it to the outside of your pack or hang it up and keep both hands free.
• Soft, flexible plastic: when you do not need it, roll it into a small tube and it disappears into your pack.

Care:

Rinse a muddy case with lukewarm water and wipe it with a soft cloth — abrasive sponges and harsh cleaners would scratch the clear plastic and cloud it. Do not leave it for long in hot places such as behind a car windscreen or by a fire, as the plastic could deform. Let it dry inside as well before longer storage, and watch out for sharp objects in your pack.
