Thanks to its shape, the Black Bear Bowie is sufficiently fast and wide for cutting small trees, clearing brush and many outdoor tasks. The Black Bear Bowie construction with a full tang and handle guard, which are made from a single piece by precision high-pressure injection moulding of polypropylene, gives this machete exceptional strength properties. The blade is made from 1055 carbon steel with an anti-corrosion black surface finish. 1055 steel is a tool carbon steel. Thanks to its carbon content and low alloy content, this shallow-hardened steel is a very strong material that is not prone to brittleness. The handle is made from a very strong backing layer and the top part of the handle is milled from a pleasant soft material for a comfortable grip. The machete comes with a sheath.
