Ο ιαπωνικός χάλυβας AUS 8A είναι μαρτενσιτικός ανοξείδωτος χάλυβας που, μετά τη σκλήρυνση σε λάδι και την επακόλουθη ανόπτηση, επιτυγχάνει σκληρότητα 62 έως 63 HRC.
