The tactical rechargeable LED weapon light Fenix GL30R is designed specifically for use on long guns. It offers top light output of 800 ANSI lumens with an extreme beam distance of up to 630 meters. The light is powered by a single 18650 Li-ion rechargeable battery with a capacity of 3400 mAh, which charges directly in the light via a multifunctional USB-C port and is included in the package. Alternatively, two disposable CR123A lithium batteries can also be used. The light is controlled by a tactical rear switch or the supplied AER-07 remote cable switch. This plugs into the USB-C port and features a locking slider to prevent accidental activation. Mounting on a weapon is highly versatile – the light comes with mounts for a standard Picatinny rail (MIL-STD-1913) and for the M-Lok system, allowing flexible installation in both inline and offset positions. The light is thus a perfect tool for professionals, armed forces, sport shooters, hunters and airsoft.

All light parameters (luminous flux, runtime on batteries, water resistance and beam distance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Operation of the Fenix GL30R light

There may be an internal insulating cover on the battery inside the light from the factory. Before first use, remove it from the battery.

The light can be operated either by its tactical rear switch on the body, or the supplied AER-07 remote pressure switch. Note: If you switch the light on with one of the switches, it cannot be switched off by the other.

Rear switch operation: For constant on press the switch fully (until it clicks). For momentary on press the switch halfway and hold. Release to turn the light off.

AER-07 remote switch operation: Connect the switch to the USB-C port and secure the connector by turning. The switch has two buttons and a locking slider (to prevent accidental activation). A single click of the button switch will toggle the light on/off permanently. Pressing and holding the silent pressure switch will turn the light on momentarily (light is on only while pressed).

Charging the light - flip open the rubber cover of the USB-C port (or disconnect the remote switch) and use the supplied cable to connect it to a computer, a USB wall adapter, or a car USB adapter (not included). Any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector can also be used for charging. During charging the indicator LED at the port lights red, and after full charge it lights green. Charging a fully depleted battery takes about 2 hours. Warning: Do not charge the light if you are using disposable CR123A batteries inside.

Battery status indication - after turning on the light the LED indicator activates for 3 seconds. If it lights green, the battery is charged to more than 85%. Green blinking means 50-85%. Red steady means 25-50%. Red blinking indicates less than 25% capacity remaining. (Function is active only when using a Li-ion battery).

Battery replacement - unscrew the head of the light and insert the battery with the positive pole facing outwards (towards the head). Then fully tighten the head again.

Intelligent overheat protection - if the temperature of the light exceeds 60 °C, the output will be automatically reduced. Once the temperature falls below a safe threshold, the output will gradually increase again.

Warning

• Use only quality rechargeable batteries or branded CR123A batteries to avoid damage to the light, for example due to battery leakage.
• When using the light on a weapon, observe all safety rules.
• Insert batteries with the positive pole towards the head of the light.
• The light accumulates a large amount of heat; use it safely to avoid burns.
• For transport in luggage or storage remove the battery or loosen the head of the light to prevent accidental activation.
• If the light blinks, emits low output or does not turn on, it may be for one of the following reasons:
  • The battery is depleted – replace or charge it.
  • The contacts inside the light are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.

Five-year warranty on the light. Two years on the battery and remote switch.
