Μετά τον Δεύτερο Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο, οι μπλούζες έγιναν εξαιρετικά δημοφιλείς, εν μέρει χάρη στον Marlon Brando και τον James Dean, οι οποίοι τις φορούσαν στους εμβληματικούς τους ρόλους στη μεγάλη οθόνη.
