A compact tent for a few days outdoors. Husky Bird 3 Plus from the Outdoor range is a free-standing double-wall tent with an internal durawrap frame and a simple shape that goes up quickly and packs down to just 50 × 15 cm. It gives three adults comfortable room — with two of you there is space for luggage as well.
A simple frame and quick pitching
The frame is deliberately simple: fewer poles mean quicker pitching and fewer things that can go wrong. The 8.5 mm durawrap poles are flexible and, unlike fibreglass, do not splinter into sharp ends that could damage the fabric if they break. A steel peg set anchors the tent reliably even in soft ground.
Taped seams and a 4,000 mm water column
The 185T polyester flysheet has a polyurethane coating with a 4,000 mm H₂O water column and taped seams. The breathable 190T nylon inner tent with mosquito mesh keeps air moving, and the 190T polyester groundsheet with a PU coating has a 7,000 mm H₂O water column. The fabric has enhanced UV protection and a repair kit is included.

Pros and cons of the Husky Bird 3 Plus
✓ Pros: quick, easy pitching, a small packed size of 50 × 15 cm, flexible durawrap poles, taped seams, a friendly price.
✗ Cons: three adults with gear find the bedroom tight, the 4,000 mm water column is lower than in the trekking ranges, the steel pegs are heavier than aluminium ones, the vestibule is small, and the 130 cm height does not let you stand up.
How it compares with related models
Husky Bird 3 Plus light brown is the newer generation of the same model. Husky Bird 3 Classic is the simpler, cheaper version. Husky Beast 3 from the Extreme Lite range is lighter and has a higher water column.
