Husky Bizon 3 Plus from the Outdoor range is a free-standing double-wall tent with an internal durawrap frame and a generous vestibule where you can store all your luggage and cook when the weather turns. Two entrances remove the crush at the door and the bedroom sleeps three.

A vestibule with a floor and two entrances

A substantial part of the 410 cm total length is taken up by the vestibule with its own floor — luggage stays dry and out of the mud, and you can sit out the rain there with a stove. Two entrances mean a way in for each of you and better ventilation. The 7.9 and 8.5 mm durawrap poles are flexible and, unlike fibreglass, do not splinter into sharp ends that could damage the fabric if they break.

A 4,000 mm water column and a 7,000 mm groundsheet

The polyester flysheet has a polyurethane coating with a 4,000 mm H₂O water column and taped seams, and the PU-coated groundsheet has a 7,000 mm H₂O water column — both figures are higher than in the Classic range. The breathable 190T nylon inner tent with mosquito mesh keeps air moving. A storage pocket for small items and a repair kit are included.

Pros and cons of the Husky Bizon 3 Plus

✓ Pros: a vestibule with its own floor that can also be used for cooking, two entrances, a higher water column than in the Classic range, flexible durawrap poles, taped seams.

✗ Cons: a weight of 5.2 kg suits a campsite rather than a rucksack, the steel pegs are heavier than aluminium ones, the 130 cm height does not let you stand up, and three adults with gear find the bedroom tight.
