An expedition two-person tent with two entrances. Husky Falcon 2 from the Extreme range is a free-standing double-wall tent with an external aluminium frame, a 7,000 mm H₂O water column and snow skirts. It suits climbers, ski tourers and cycle tourists who travel in pairs and would rather not climb over each other on a night exit.

Two entrances and two vestibules

Entrances on both sides mean a way in for each of you and two vestibules for gear — on a multi-day trip you notice it from the first night. The 8.5 mm aluminium poles are threaded from the outside, so the tent goes up as a single unit and the bedroom stays dry even when you pitch it in the rain. Handling is quick even in strong wind, and snow skirts anchor the tent where pegs cannot be used.

Ripstop polyester with a 7,000 mm water column

The 210T ripstop polyester flysheet has a polyurethane coating with a 7,000 mm H₂O water column and taped seams; the ripstop grid stops any tear before it spreads. The breathable 190T nylon inner tent with mosquito mesh carries moisture and condensation away, and the 190T polyester groundsheet with a PU coating has an 11,000 mm H₂O water column.

Pros and cons of the Husky Falcon 2

✓ Pros: two entrances and two vestibules, a high 7,000 mm water column with taped seams, snow skirts for winter use, a generous 220 × 340 cm of space for two, quick pitching from the outside.

✗ Cons: a weight of 4.2 kg is high for a two-person tent, a packed size of 52 × 16 cm, the 120 cm height does not let you stand up, and the larger surface catches more wind than the narrow Flame 2.

How it compares with related models

Husky Flame 2 is 0.8 kg lighter and has a lower profile, but only one entrance. Husky Fighter 3-4 offers room for three to four people at a similar weight. Husky Felen 2-3 has an extra vestibule, but no snow skirts.
