An updated model with two entrances and vestibules and two cross poles. The vestibules are generously high and the rigidity of the frame makes the tent suitable even for more demanding conditions.

The flysheet is made of polyester with a polyurethane coating that gives it a 4 000 mm water column. The seams are heat-taped so that they do not leak.

The groundsheet is made of laminated Rip-Stop polyethylene.

The poles consist of laminate segments 8.5 mm in diameter (main poles) and 9.5 mm (vestibule support).

Description

The tent is double-skinned and consists of an inner tent and an outer skin - the flysheet. The inner tent has a rectangular footprint with two entrances on the longer sides. The outer tent is an octagon and also has two entrances, each with a vestibule suitable for storing luggage, for example.

Ventilation

It is placed at the top of the flysheet dome. The hoods over the vents are shaped so that the wind cannot fold them down; if necessary they can be closed with hook-and-loop fasteners. That prevents water getting in even in rain with strong wind.

Tent concept

It is based on a principle in which the pole frame is threaded through sleeves on the outside of the flysheet. Once the poles have been threaded through the sleeves, the flysheet and the inner tent (which hangs underneath the flysheet) are pitched at the same time. The advantage is that the inner tent can be unclipped from the flysheet and the flysheet can then be pitched on its own. That gives you a single-skin tent without a groundsheet.

Pitching the tent

Thread the frame poles through the sleeves on the outside of the flysheet and insert the pole ends into the brass eyelets on the loops at the bottom edge of the flysheet. Then, inside the tent at ground level, fasten the buckles on the straps and the flysheet is up. Clip the inner tent into the loops on the inside of the flysheet. Anchor the pitched tent with pegs and guy lines and tension it with the plastic buckles.
