A larger version of the popular integrated stove with a 1 L pot – for couples or larger portions, where the 500 ml capacity of the Lite Plus is no longer sufficient. Primus Lite XL offers the same heat exchanger system with higher efficiency, but with a capacity suitable for cooking for two people.

Integrated system for two

An aluminium pot with a capacity of 1,000 ml with a neoprene handle connects directly to the gas burner – the heat exchanger in the base increases efficiency by 25-30% compared to a standard stove. Boiling 1 L of water takes approximately 4:30. When storing, a 100 g gas cartridge fits directly inside the pot.

Control and use

Piezoelectric ignition, control valve with fine flame adjustment. A bottom stabilising plate prevents tipping over. Compatible with all standard gas cartridges EN 417.

Advantages and disadvantages of Primus Lite XL

✓ Advantages: larger capacity for two, heat exchanger saves gas, fast boiling, piezo ignition, compact packaging, Primus reliability.

✗ Disadvantages: heavier than Lite Plus (for a solo hiker, Lite Plus is better), still limited space for cooking more complex meals (narrow pot diameter), sensitive to wind without a windscreen.

Primus Lite Plus is a solo version with a 500 ml pot – lighter and more compact. Primus PrimeTech offers two pots plus a pan for cooking different foods simultaneously – for larger groups or more complex menus. Lite XL is the optimal middle choice for a couple that wants an integrated system.
