Shorts meant to last a whole summer have to take more than one wash a week. Vintage Industries Terrance is made from cotton ripstop, so it does not tear even when it catches, and it dries fast. The adjustable waistband fine-tunes the fit and the side pockets hold the essentials. Shorts for the yard, for travelling and for the festival.
Ripstop that stops the tear
A reinforced yarn is woven into the fabric in a regular grid. When the material catches on something, the tear stops at the nearest grid line and goes no further. That is exactly why ripstop is used for field gear.
